2028 LA Olympics Campaign
Support
Support Sammie Costin's campaign to help her return to competitive windfoiling and achieve her Olympic dreams. Your contribution is vital for covering essential costs and will directly impact her ability to represent Australia and inspire the next generation of female athletes.
Feel free to have a look through, or share with your friends and contacts Sammie’s athlete mission and sponsorship proposal document below.
Current Supporters
Sammie is very fortunate to be supported by the following organisations. If you would like to join her on her journey to Paris please feel free to reach out.
The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron
RQYS is Sammie’s home yacht club and where she first learnt to sail back in 2002 and windsurf in 2017. She has been privileged to be a member since 2010 and to train predominantly out of their Windsurfing Centre of Excellence. Without their support through the Wyuna Fund Support Fund and the John Harrison Olympic Support Fund she would not have been able to compete internationally or have qualified Australia for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Hervey Bay Hotel & Resort
The Hervey Bay Hotel and Resort has supported Sammie through assisting with travel and accommodation costs associated with campaigning since she first began. They have been instrumental in her ability to attend training camps and competitions, domestically and internationally.
Australian Sailing
In 2021 Sammie was selected in the Australian Sailing Futures Windfoil Program and in 2023 was selected in the Australian Sailing Squad (ASS).
Following her injury she is currently supported by the Futures program with access to some of the teams domestic training facilities.
The Queensland Academy of Sport
Since receiving a training partner agreement with QAS in 2020 Sammie has been supported within Australia by the QAS Sailing Program coaching staff and strength and conditioning program.
In 2021 she received a full athlete scholarship with the QAS which increased my access to their facilities and support systems, which was instrumental in her recovery from surgery.
